Strings for Ukulele

Finding strings that truly balance tone, tension, and playability is a challenge—so we set out to create our own solution: a wide range of strings designed for different playing styles and instruments.

Choosing the right strings is not always easy. Some offer strong volume but lack balance, while others feel balanced but don’t provide enough tension. Many players have experienced the frustration of trying different sets without finding one that feels fully satisfying.

With this in mind, we decided to create our own strings, designed to combine balance, clarity, and playability. We use fluorocarbon because it is flexible, durable, and stable, remaining consistent in any climate or environment.

Our goal is simple: to provide strings that support your music with consistent quality and a sound you can rely on.

Features

  • Elasticity

When you first install Worth Strings, the fluorocarbon lines may stretch slightly over the first day or two. After that, they remain stable, letting you play without any tension or worry.

  • Balance

Compared to nylon strings of the same tension, Worth Strings can be thinner while still maintaining excellent balance and responsiveness.

  • Volume

Despite their thin design, these fluorocarbon strings deliver impressive volume, projecting your sound clearly and fully.

  • Tone

Worth Strings produce a sound that is bright, clear, and resonant, with a sweet, clean quality that suits many playing styles.

  • Quality

Built to remain consistent in any environment, Worth Strings maintain their performance regardless of your instrument type or playing conditions.

Types and Classifications

Our wide range of strings is designed to match every instrument, playing style, and personal preference—so you can find the ideal set for your music.

We’ve organized our strings by: Color and Materials

  • Color – two distinct options for tone and feel

  • Material – three premium fluorocarbon variations

  • Length – two practical sizes to suit different instruments

With Worth Strings, you get quality, consistency, and the freedom to shape your unique sound.

  • Colors

Worth Strings are available in two colors. The Clear strings offer a bright, sharp, and highly projective sound, ideal for players who want clarity and presence. The Brown strings provide a warm, mellow, and smooth tone, perfect for a softer, more relaxed sound.

  • Hard Clear

There are two types of Clear fluorocarbon material. The standard type is used in most of our Clear sets, including L, CM, CE, CT, and C-LG. A firmer variant is used in sets such as CD, CH, CF, and C-LGEX, giving these strings a slightly brighter and clearer sound compared to the standard Clear sets.

  • Gauge / Thickness

For both Clear and Brown colors, Worth Strings are available in a range of thicknesses, allowing players to choose the set that best suits their style.

The Light gauge (CL/BL) produces a bright sound and is easy to play, making it a popular choice for beginners and players who prefer a softer touch. The Medium gauge (CM/BM) is our standard, well-suited for both solo and strumming styles.

Extra gauge (CE/BE) features a slightly thicker 4th string, favored by strong strummers, while the Custom gauge (BC) offers a bright and glossy tone. Tenor gauge (CT/BT) delivers a powerful sound, and the Fat gauge (CF/BF) produces a fuller, richer tone.

  • Length

Worth Strings are available in two lengths: 46 inches and 63 inches. The 46-inch sets are generally suited for soprano and concert ukuleles, while the 63-inch sets are designed for tenor and Baritone Ukuleles. However, you can also use 63-inch Clear sets like CL63 or CM63 on a tenor ukulele instead of CT, allowing you to choose the set that best matches your personal preference.

How to Choose

If you’re unsure which strings to choose, we recommend BM or CM for soprano and concert ukuleles, and CT or BT for tenor ukuleles.

From the very beginning, we have refined Worth Strings to deliver consistent quality and meet the needs of players worldwide. Our wide lineup may seem extensive at first, but it is designed to give you the freedom to discover the sound that suits you best.

We remain committed to pursuing the finest tone, because your music deserves nothing less. Thank you for choosing Worth Strings, and enjoy your musical journey!
